Our Vision...
Our vision was to create a Foundation that empowered talented children from disadvantaged backgrounds across South Africa to become the next generation of tennis champions and community leaders.
Finding the best tennis talent the country has to offer, irrespective of race, creed, religion, or economic circumstances, necessitates that some of our talented players, require financial help to fund their careers and in turn give back to their communities. Therefore, as a natural progression, the MATCH Foundation was established in 2015 to fill this gap and fulfil dreams both on and off the court.
With your help, we can provide these young athletes with access to quality education, safe accommodation, and tennis training, so that they can reach their full potential.
Empowering the Next Generation of Tennis Champions and Community Leaders through Education and Sport.

About us...
The MATCH Foundation, established in Cape Town in 2015, is a multi-cultural, educational and sports facility, that promotes the social, psychological, and physical development of learners, and equips them with important life skills through sport.
Through MATCH’s relationship with the Anthony Harris Tennis Academy, (founded over 10 years ago), players gain access to a world class programme delivered by professional coaches and trainers, in a healthy and all-inclusive environment.
Our programme is designed to provide a comprehensive holistic support to our scholarship recipients, including financial assistance for tuition, boarding, and training costs, access to top quality coaching and facilities, and support for travel and competition expenses.
We believe that the MATCH Foundation is uniquely positioned to make a positive impact in the world of tennis and in the lives of disadvantaged young South Africans.
By supporting our Foundation, charitable trusts can play a vital role in empowering the next generation of tennis champions and community leaders.
MATCH ensures tailormade learning programmes, suitable for each player’s age, background, and capability.
We then facilitate our qualified players, to apply for US College Scholarships, to further pursue their love of the game!
The players are all given the equal opportunity to develop to their full potential, hopefully one day, becoming World class tennis champions, representing their country at all levels, in both local and ultimately international competitions.
Our resources include a High-Performance Tennis Academy and tennis specific gym, a state-of-the-art school, a comfortable home away from home residence, and of course a team of trained professionals including, coaches, tutors, a house mother, bio kineticists, and a fundraiser, who all contribute to our sustainability.
MATCH is a registered Trust and Public Benefit Organisation with Level 1 B-BEE accreditation.
It is exempt from tax and duties and its Academic Learning Program is registered in terms of Section 18A in South Africa and Section 501(c) (3) in the United States.

Sustainability...
Additionally, our program is designed to be sustainable and self-supporting, with a portion of our scholarship funds being set aside to endow future scholarships. This means that charitable trusts can make a long-term investment in the development of tennis talent and community leadership, knowing that support will continue to benefit young people for years to come.
We hope that this concept note has provided a compelling case for supporting the MATCH Foundation and our mission to empower the next generation of tennis champions and community leaders. We believe that with your support you can work alongside us to ensure that talented young athletes with access to education, and top-quality training can ensure that they reach their full potential and make a positive impact in their community.
